Ladies
Our ladies have a variety of events and activities throughout the year such as a monthly night out
and the annual fall retreat. Lakes has a wonderful group of ladies who love to serve and care for others.
Men
Our men have various special activities throughout the year such as our annual golf tournament, breakfasts, cookouts and an occasional retreat. The men are also involved in the Novi softball league.
Currently, the men meet on Wednesday nights @ 7pm and are going through the book "Twelve Ordinary Men.
Adult Bible Studies
Small group classes are offered during both Sunday morning service. Our current classes are listed below.

Shepherding A Child's Heart
What are our goals as parents? How do we achieve those goals? We cannot conclude
that the task is impossible. This study show how biblical parenting will help
the child learn and practice obedience and respect.
John Howkins will be teaching this class in the teen room using the book and
video curriculum written by Ted Tripp. The book Shepherding a Child's Heart
(available for purchase) will be a great resource. Come and experience the
blessing of how we can reach the heart of a child based on Godly principles
and reap the blessings in doing so.
Ambassador Class - Study in Acts
The Ambassador Class is taught by Roger Cox and is designed for those who enjoy
an expository or explanatory (verse by verse) approach to exploring the Bible.
The class meets in the first floor choir room and are beginning a study in
Acts.
All are welcome to join this in-depth examination of scripture.

TNT Class - Book of Genesis
This Adult Single Teens and Twenties class is designed as a small group
Bible Study. The class leader is Dave Milburn . The class is doing a small
group study on the Book of Genesis. The group meets in the church library on
the lower level.
Study on the Psalms
No matter how familiar you may be with the Psalms, an incredible amount of
information and insight can be gained through this Book. The class, led by
Mark Johnson and Stewart Maclean, meets in the choir room. They will be using
James Montgomery Boice's commentary which helps explain the meaning of the text
and relates the text's concerns to the church, Christianity, and the world in
which we live.
Living By The Book
This class will assist you to do more than just read your Bible; but to
understand it and make application. Bill Petri's class will be using the book
Living by the Book (available for purchase) along with a lesson material and
videos. The class features hands on learning and practical exercises that will
equip you for your own personal study as you grow in your walk with God. Join
them in the center classroom on the upper level.
Women's Bible Study Study on the Gospel of John
Rachel Frantz teaches the women's class in the first classroom on the main
level at 10:45. They currently are doing a Study on the Gospel of John within
its historical and literary context with special emphasis on who John was (the
real Apostle John), the miracles and parables, and the life of Christ.
Wednesday Night
On Wednesday night the Men's Bible study is studying the Life of Paul.
Also, on Wednesday night, Pastor Magee is teaching a Basic Theology class.
On Wednesday night, the Ladies are looking at the role of a Peacemaker
